Here are some resources for learning the Python programming language.
"Automate the Boring Stuff with Python" by Al Sweigart
This is the community favorite. It skips the abstract computer science theory and teaches you how to write code to do practical tasks (like renaming 1,000 files instantly or updating an Excel spreadsheet) right away.
The author creates this as a physical book but also provides the full text for free on his website: automatetheboringstuff.com.
"Python Crash Course" by Eric Matthes
This is widely considered the gold standard for a structured, fast-paced introduction to the language.
I bought this ebook on amazon.com. It is loaded on my phone and Mac.
Python Language Reference
The closest document to a formal specification is the Python Language Reference. It describes the syntax and semantics of the language.
The Reference Implementation (CPython)
The default version of Python you download from python.org (called CPython) is considered the "Reference Implementation." If the behavior isn't clear in the documentation, how CPython behaves is generally accepted as the "correct" definition.
Here are some web pages that I want to read again.
My apartment in Largo, FL (in graphical form)
Gulf of Mexico Harmful Algal Bloom Forecast
Water Temperature Map of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico
Water Temperature Table of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico (values for months are the average temperature for that month)
10-Year Treasury Constant Maturity Minus 2-Year Treasury Constant Maturity (T10Y2Y) | FRED | St. Louis Fed (If this is negative; then, we will probably enter a recession in the near future.)
The hottest place on planet Earth is Furnace Creek, California which is part of Death Valley, California where it reached 130 degrees Fahrenheit in August 2020.
climatereanalyzer.org has lots of useful information about the climate. For example, they have the Daily Sea Surface Temperature and it is most useful to set the Area Selection to North Atlantic which is where the hurricanes get generated.
